I’ve been making art since I was a little kid doing arts and crafts with my Gran. Right now I’m in love with watercolours, although I also enjoy making pieces with pencil, ink, gouache, and digitally.  In the past, I’ve worked as a graphic designer, painted with acrylics, and have had photography exhibitions in a couple of countries.

My watercolour pieces are somewhat whimsical and I think the medium is well suited to that sort of work. I find fairy tales and mythology fascinating and there’s usually some sort of sense of the fantastical in the pieces I make.

That said, my biggest inspiration is my daughter. She’s an amazing teacher and muse and has taught me so much about the importance of having fun while you’re creating things. They say that while we teach children all about life, they teach us what life is all about, and, for me at least, that is so true.

During the pandemic, I began to combine my love of art and teaching to create online art classes with SkillShare.  My classes have been well received with thousands of students and glowing reviews
