In this class we’ll use mindful painting to get a rest from our busy brains, tap into our creativity, and hone our use of colour and brushes. I’ll share lots of tips on how to get the best from this process and show you how we can use art to help us quiet and settle our minds.

Hey! Do you want to do some watercolors? But do you have a tiny tyrant in your brain that is always trying to make you ‘be productive’? Join me in this class to go on a mindful exploration of color and put that tyrant to bed.
In this class we’ll trick that tiny productivity tyrant in our brains into letting us slow down and do some self care art activities. I’ll give you lots of tips on how to get the best from this process and show you how we can learn about color experientially and mindfully to hone our skills.
We’ll go through the process of:
- using art as a mindful practice to take care of ourselves
- exploring color, values, and hues
- learning about patterns
- creating compelling color palettes
- practising our brush control and blending skills
- tapping into our creativity
You don’t have to have any experience with watercolors to take this class; we will explore five prompts and I’ll share my tips to help you explore color with ease. And if you’re an experienced artist, I will share my personal tips on how to use a mindful approach to relax and tap into your creativity.
By the end of this class we will have fully and mindfully explored color, practising our brush control along the way, all while giving ourselves some precious ‘me time’.
