Hello friends, Happy Friday!

Did you know I have a free miniature bookbinding guide that’s available to download? Probably not because I’ve not widely advertised it… Well, now you know!

In the guide, I take you through five different projects to create miniature books. They are all suitable for beginners and require no specialised bookbinding equipment or knowledge. It’s an easy way to dip your toe in the water and create some sweet little items for you to enjoy or gift to the special people in your life.

What Projects are in the Miniature Bookbinding Guide?

  • Accordion fold book – a folded style, the same one we made in my recent Summer Creative Retreat workshop.
  • Accordion fold variant – a variation of the accordion fold.
  • Simple bound book – a sewn (or stitched) style. (I also have a blog post specifically for making this style of book if you’re interested)
  • Perfect bound book – a glued book with no stitching required.
  • Coptic stitch book – a decorative sewn (or stitched) style where the gorgeous stitching is exposed.

Note: All but the first project are also included in my Skillshare class Make Miniature Books: Bookbinding for Beginners – so if you’d like to learn alongside videos, you can!
